Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Modern Misery.

In the list of big questions that will be answered in 2021 will be if the touring cycle for the Critically acclaimed album “Holy Hell” from Brighton Progressive Metalcore heroes Architects come to an end and are they working on new material after a well deserved break? We’re hoping that the answer to both of those is a resounding yes, but only time will tell.

So this week we’re going with a pair of complete reimaginings of “Modern Misery” by Architects that play on the softer side and emphasize that dull ache of pain in Sam Carter’s lyrics. In the red corner it’s a red carpet debut for Berlin Germany based singer songwriter and pianist Lea Moonchild who shared her beautiful rendition a year ago and is famed for her reinterpretations of Metal and Post Hardcore songs in her unique style. In the blue corner we have a favourite in Christina Rotondo, who has been reimagining Architects songs for a long while in acoustic form and who has also brought us her renditions of songs by the likes of Wage War, The Amity Affliction and many more. Who wins? You decide!
