Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Scorpions.

Penned by Klaus Meine after his band, German Rockers Scorpions visited the Soviet Union in 1990, “Wind Of Change” was a huge part of the bands eighth studio album “Crazy World“, with estimated sales of 14 million copies sold worldwide making it one of the biggest of all  time. Demonstrating the power of Music, the band presented a gold record and $70,000 of royalties from the single to Mikhail Gorbachev in 1991 to be allocated to children’s hospitals.

In the Red Corner we have Montréal natives Mind Illusion who only know how to do things on the scale of the epic. They’ve turned the Scorpions classic into something of a Euro Metal anthem that borders on Power Metal with some incredible leads. In the Blue Corner we have German Metalcore mainstays Any Given Day who one might consider this a left field choice for but who have actually created something that disposes of the cheese and instead is a grittier version. Who wins? You decide!
