Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins?! FIGHT! Countless Bathory

Black Metal overlords Venom entrusted Cronos to rewrite history and the tale of Countess Elizabeth Bathory, the most prolific female serial killer that history has recorded and in doing so he only served to enhance the darkness of folklore that surrounds her. Born in 1560; she was said to be a highly intelligent, educated and literate Hungarian noblewoman who lured her victims with promises of well paid work as maid servants before they were  tortured and eventually murdered, purely for her gratification. At trial the witnesses suggested anywhere between 36 and 650 victims had suffered this fate but in order to avoid scandal the countess confined to her castle until her death in 1614…

In the Blood Red Corner we have Swedish Epic Doom Metallers of legend Candlemass who have remained on the left hand path since reforming after a few years of turbulence in 2004. In the ice cold Blue Corner we have frontwoman of the now multinational Nervosa Diva Satanica who is joined by Jeff Mantas Dunn. We’re not one hundred percent sure that if a cover includes an appearance from a member of the band that wrote it that it qualifies, but Dunn has been out of Venom since 2002, having recorded with Mantas, Warfare, Dryll and Venom Inc since. Who Wins? You decide!
