Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Would?

While we didn’t perhaps realise quite how much at the time, the original MTV Unplugged in New York series that saw the likes of  Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam put in iconic performances without electricity were something seriously special. So while some other bands couldn’t quite manage to carry it off, those three in particular did so in spectacular style in the early 90’s, a time which saw the channel at its height… and now you have MTV without music. Which makes it just TV?

While nothing can really compare to the original MTV Unplugged rendition, In the Red Corner we have Metallica performing the Alice In Chains classic “Would?” in acoustic form with electric bass from their performance at the Museum of Pop Culture benefit show in 2020. In the Blue Corner we have Bakersfield boys KoRn doing likewise in full electric form because well… You’ve seen their MTV Unplugged in New York right?! Who Wins?! You decide!
