Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Bush?!

A classic example of a band from one place who do phenomenally well half way around the World but not on their own patch, 1994 saw the debut album from Shepards Bush quartet Bush entitled “Sixteen Stone” make the band Kings in the United States of America. An album that spawned 5 singles with “Machinehead” being the last and featuring frontman Gavin Rossdale’s dog Winston in the video, it’s a track that’s more popular than you might think.  It’s been used in Hockey, Wrestling and the NFL as well as appearing in the Mark Wahlberg film “Fear” as well as the CBS series “Cold Case”…

In the Red corner we have Hawthorne Heights who covered the song for their 8th November release “Lost Frequencies” via Pure Noise Records. In the Red corner we have the best 90s cover band know to Atlanta Georgia, Dr Kahn. They are known for 4 hour sets of pure nostalgia, playing everything from Blink 182 to Sublime and even Incubus. Who wins? You decide!
