The Black Map #141: Fatality from Chelmsford!

Known as the birthplace of radio after Guglielmo Marconi opened the World’s first wireless factory there in 1899, Chelmsford Essex is also home to a band who like to dabble in the space between Nu-Metal and Grunge with influences from the World’s of both rap and rock in Fatality. A quartet in Jordan Maze, Josh Abbott, Gareth Brimley and Matt Shynn who deserve credit for not only their music but their charity work, raising money at shows and special events for SNAP and MIND while raising awareness of Mental health issues. Their 2019 sophomore EP “Prey” qualifies as an album on streaming services with 7 tracks and a 35 minute duration with “Look In My Eyes” a firm fans favourite. 2020 was the year of the Great Plague and while the band were unable to play any shows, they were able to head to Card Trick Music Productions and whip up a storm with a trio of new singles including the impressive “Juggernaut” while beginning the search for a second guitarist to give them a bigger sound. They will be doing live streams in early 2021…
