The Black Map #154: Recall The Remains from Telford!

How many bands are there on the UK Metal Underground circuit? Millions. Like Pokémon, you’ve gotta catch them all and so this entry in our The Black Map takes us 206 miles from Brighton to Telford and Recall The Remains who have been on the West Midlands Metalcore scene since 2016. It’s taken them a while but a string of really impressive singles Produced, Engineered, Mixed and Mastered by Tom Gittins at Monochrome Productions including “First Inversion” and “Deadlines” they finally managed to get their debut EP “Dead Dreams” over the line in March. But those five long years haven’t been wasted, far from it as they’ve been testing the water and developing the songs that appear on the release in the live arena and have had the opportunity to play some bigger stages like Mammothfest, Derby Alt Fest and HRH Metal Festival. Bringing influences from Deathcore, Nu-metal, Thrash and even DJent to the table has borne fruit and when we spoke to them about the release, they told us they’d love to work with Corey Taylor from Slipknot, CJ McMahon from Thy Art is Murder, Tom Barber of Chelsea Grin or even Phil Bozeman from Whitechapel on a guest appearance for their next EP. You heard it here first!
