NEWS: Avatar join the Christmas party!
Having added Veil Of Maya to their turn of the year European tour run Avatar have continued the post “Hunter Gatherer” era with another seemingly standalone single that sees them enter the festive spirit. The track is to be released together with a children’s book portraying the ‘not-very child-friendly everyday life’ in Santa’s workshop in the parallel universe of Avatar. Those all important January tour dates are as follows:
08.01 – Nottingham, Rock City
09.01 – Manchester, Academy
10.01 – Glasgow, SWG3
12.01 – Wolverhampton, KK’s Steelmill 1
13.01 – Bristol, Marble Factory
14.01 – Southampton, 1865
15.01 – London, O2 Forum Kentish Town
The band comment: “This song will be to Christmas songs what Die Hard is to Christmas movies. It wasn’t intended to be that, but ultimately, it makes a lot of sense. It’s about us — meaning the robots taking over the great human project of our ancestors, building our way out of the planet on sandy soils, saturated with the withering bones of our ancestors.”
