NEWS: VHS read like an open book…
When you’ve got four guest vocal appearances on your album do you risk it for a biscuit and include a cover song? Well if you’re Canadian Death Punks VHS you do. They put their version of “The Never Ending Story” on the cassette edition of their recently deceased album “Quest For The Mighty Riff” and it’s sheer class. So good in fact that they created a music video for your viewing pleasure. If you’re not familiar, the album is a concept record paying violent homage to ’80s sword and sorcery flicks and features appearances from Aaren Pantke of Molder, Marlee Ryley of Hyperia, Schuler Benson of Trocar and James McBain of Hellripper…
The band comment: “If you were one of the lucky people to snag the cassette version of “Quest for the Mighty Riff” you know that the end of the tape featured a cover song worthy of making you shout Moon Child in a thunder storm. Check out our version of ” The Never Ending Story” and please remember that death metal is serious business and no smiles are allowed! “
