Throwback: “Ratamahatta” from Sepultura!

Twenty eight years down the yellow brick road, the sixth album that is “Roots” by Sepultura remains one that divides fans. Inspired by the rising tide of Nu-Metal, producer Ross Robinson gave the Brazilian Death Thrash outfit the KoRn guitar sound and the band combined it with world music and tribal power. Some consider it the first Soulfly record, some a sellout and others a work of genius. The rest as they say is history so we’ve skipped past obvious choice “Roots Bloody Roots” and selected one of its other finer moments as a reminder of its power.
