Throwback: “Empyreal” from Sylosis!

Hindsight is a wonderful thing because while the second album “Edge Of The Earth” by Sylosis was surrounded by controversy when it dropped thirteen years ago, it’s appearance lead to events which made it all worthwhile. After all, if vocalist Jamie Graham hadn’t been pushed out so that lead guitarist Josh Middleton could  perform vocals, then Graham wouldn’t have gone on to join Heart Of A Coward or form the almighty Viscera. Recorded in 2010 at Grindstone Studios in Reading and falling between Thrash, Melodic Death and Progressive Metal with Scott Atkins (Amon Amarth, Cradle Of Filth, Venom Prison) in the producers chair. A rarity these days, it crosses the 72 minute mark so we’ve chosen “Empyreal” as a timely reminder of just how good it is…
