NEWS: Werewolves prey on the weak!

Nothing screams ambition like the mission statement to release 10 albums in 10 years issued by Werewolves. But having formed in 2019, 2024 finds the Death Metal trio reaching the half way point with “Die For Us“, a record pencilled in for a 19th July unveiling. Described by those who have heard their prior convictions as sounding “like a school bus getting fed into a metal shredder“, the band have chosen “Beaten Back To Life” to share alongside pre-orders which are available over at bandcamp.

Bassist and vocalist Sam Bean describes the track: “Well, reaching the halfway point of our ten album goal was cause for us to pause and indulge in some introspection. I mean, we’ve been making some really childish, obnoxious, Jurassic death metal for five years now. If ever we were going to pivot to a new direction more befitting our skills and maturity, it would be now. Of course we didn’t. This album is even worse than before, and our first video is about how anyone who got into metal after 1992 is weak and worthless. It’s all about vinyl, cassette tapes, and wanton violence at shows, not this stupid warm-fuzzy ‘support our scene’ non-sense.

Speaking about the “Die For Us” album, Sam says: “Mixing and Mastering was done by none other than Joe Haley (Psycroptic), who we’ll use until either he dies, we quit, or Erik Rutan becomes an affordable option. The artwork was done by Mitchell Nolte, not an AI because we’re not fuckwits, and is guaranteed to horrify as many people as all the previous albums. He basically took the album title and ran with it, focusing his artistic genius on cramming as much blood and gore onto an album cover as humanly possible.
