Throwback: “Visions” from Mind Control!

Celebrating a decade of destruction from Italian Progressive Death Metal outfit Mind Control, we return to their 2014 debut album “Heptagon“ for a blast of “Visions“. At that time they were fronted by Simone Evangelista (now in Insane Therapy) who exited stage left four years later to be replaced by Stefania “Natisfea” Salladini for sophomore album “Elements“, making the pair of records sound distinctively separate, although it has to be said that the consistency of guitarist Massimo Boffa and drummer Luca Nicolucci across both is sublime. 45 minutes of Technical riffs that combine what you might expect to hear from Periphery or Erra with the Gothenburg Melodic Death Metal sound makes the record a true Pandora’s box of fireworks…
