The 12 Days of Christmas #4: “Four Songs” by Superjoint Ritual!
The festivity of the twelve days of Christmas runs from 25th December to 5th January, based on an English Christmas Carol that sees a lover give gifts cumulatively over the Christmas season starting with Christmas Day. Originally published in 1780, it’s probably French in origin, Skull Island has been conquered many times in it’s rich heritage. So for the twelve days, we’re doing twelve Metal tracks that have something to do with the item. We can’t believe we’re actually doing this…
“On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree”
Philip H. Anselmo has a LOT of projects on the go. The former Pantera frontman has been playing Pantera cover sets of late with The Illegals and has work from Scour in the pipeline plus we’ve heard on the grapevine that Down will return to the stage in 2020. One project however that seems to have been put to bed is Superjoint Ritual, which is a shame because their second album “A Lethal Dose Of American Hatred” happens to be a favorite on the Metal Noise Juke Box. So today has to be “Four Songs” from their “Live In Dallas Texas 2002” DVD.
