NEWS: Necrodeath indicate the end of their war!

As they prepare for their untimely demise with one last album and one last tour, Italian Death Thrash legends Necrodeath have issued a warning shot confirming they’re not done yet. That comes in the form of a music video for the title track of the aforementioned album “Arimortis“, a record due out on 17th January via Time To Kill Records. Are you ready?

The band comment: “The title track ‘Arimortis’ is a song that speaks of the end of war, when survivors take the time to bury their fallen and honor them by raising the altars of death. Metaphorically, we wanted to compare our forty-year musical career to a long battle from which we emerge with our heads held high, without any regrets. The song is dedicated to everyone who has contributed to making Necrodeath what it is today, for better or for worse. This will be our testament, left to the new generations, in the hope that they can continue to make music in a world without wars”.

Frontman Flegias adds: “’Arimortis’ is a term of Latin origin which indicates the end of a war, the moment in which the fallen are honoured and altars are erected in their name (‘arae mortis’, the altars of death). Even today in some parts of Italy the term ‘arimo’ is used to declare the end of the games. We wanted to use this allegory to seal a path that lasted forty years, full of satisfactions, disappointments and revenge. The songs that make up the album contain several references to our long career”.
