NEWS: Death Rattle strike three with “Nietzsche, and the Fall”!

Featuring a guest vocal appearance from none other than Bjorn “Speed” Strid of Soilwork and The Night Flight Orchestra fame, American Groove Metal force Death Rattle have unveiled a new single in “Nietzsche, and the Fall”. It appears as the four piece are preparing to head to Japan and then Europe for a run of shows in advance of M-Theory Audio distributing their third studio album “The Moral Chokehold” on 30th May, eight long years after its predecessor “Volition“. Produced by Kevin Billingslea (Lamb of God, Trivium) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Kreator) it features some stunning artwork from Tamer Azab of The Dark Art in Dubai.

The band comment: “This song was our first venture into experimenting with melodic vocals.  The open choruses and driving verses took us in some new directions and it was a lot of fun creating the harmonies in the studio.  What came out was a wall of sound that we felt was unique and memorable.  After the initial recording process we thought that it needed just a touch more of something that we couldn’t put our finger on.  That’s when we reached out to Soilwork frontman Bjorn “Speed” Strid and asked him to add his own style to what we had already laid down.  What he produced was nothing short of magical and it created the epic crescendo that we were looking for in the choruses.  It was truly an amazing experience and he slayed his parts.  This is one of our favorite songs to play off the upcoming album and we can’t wait for all the fans to hear it.

“We are beyond stoked to release ‘The Moral Chokehold’ on May 30th.  For us, this album has been almost four years in the making.  We had a blast writing and recording it, but for the last year we have been in the trenches making content and releasing things to hype up the release.  It is the grind of the music business.  It feels so good to finally get back to what we are passionate about — the music.  Releasing these songs to the world and touring to support them is what this whole venture is all about.  Creatively, this was a giant step forward for us.  We experimented with writing more in the studio environment and playing with different melody structures.  It has brought out a new energy in our live show.  When a group of songs inspires the band to begin writing the next album before the music is even released, you know you have made something special.  That is how we feel about ‘…Chokehold”.’  We cannot wait for you all to hear this thing all the way through.”
