NEWS: Hacktivist announce new line up with “Bones”!
Following the shock announcement of the departure of guitarist James Hewitt, bassist Josh Gurner and drummer Richard Hawking which left Milton Keynes DJentlemen Hacktivist with just one original member in vocalist Jermaine “J” Hurley, the band have dropped a new single and announced a new line up. Former Borders vocalist JJ Olifent remains Hurley’s partner in crime while in step guitarist Alex Hek (ex-October Ends) and drummer Stee Cole (protégé of former Monuments drummer Mike Malyan) making the band a four piece. Mixed and Mastered By George Lever (Loathe, The Arusha Accord, Monuments) and Sam Kubrick at G1 Productions “Bones” is their first single together…
Discussing the new single, the band states“”Bones” is more than just a track—it’s a statement. A blistering call-out to the industry snakes who exploit the hard work of bands for their own gain. Hacktivist is taking the DIY route, reclaiming our music, our message, and our future. This is the new Hacktivist, and we’re here to stay. The song also reflects the challenges the band has faced in recent months. But instead of engaging in online drama, we deliver truth through raw, unfiltered creativity. This is our response. This is “Bones.””
