It’s the seventh incarnation of the annual event and they have pulled together a line up to offer you thrills and spills as well as blood, sweat and tears should you enter the mosh pit! Please note: no sand or sea water water is involved in the making of this event.

Here’s the line up in full:

Remnant
Killswitch Enchambers (Killswitch Engage Tribute featuring former members of Kill Chambers)

As the title of this piece reads, this is indeed an introduction to Buds. (or “Buds full stop” as they are sometimes referred to) so the question is, why are they worth paying Mercury’s Well the admittance fee alone? Formed circa 2018 with the aim of making sing-a-long anthems to raise a poison chalice or put your fist in the air to, they’ve reigned supreme with a trio of EPs. Their loud and catchy anthems have taken them as far a field as Teddy Rocks, Manchester Punk Festival and 2000 Trees, the bands reputation for an energetic live show full of fun and frolics preceding them because they’ve clocked up the miles in pursuit of perfecting the art. On that score, their most successful tracks being “Building Blocks”, “Medicinal Cathedral” and “Bigger Fish“. It’s all sex, lies and bloody statistics but we’re not accountants and we’re sure you can figure it out. What’s great about them is that you don’t even need to learn their lyrics to sing-a-long because after some liquid encouragement you’ll be joining in by the second chorus they’re so damn infectious. Just imagine Blink 182 slowed down and got serious so you get Pop Punk hooks and noodling riffs with a bit of introspection and emotion in the lyrics that you might expect from Post-Hardcore…

We’re proud confirm that Metal Noise dot Net is returning for a third consecutive year as the Media Partner for Summer Bash! Mercury’s Well will be hosting the seventh incarnation of their annual Hawaiian beach party themed event on 26th July 2025 at The Facebar in Reading.
