Ahead of their 30th August headlining appearance at Burn It Down Festival in Torquay, Canadians Hardcore Punks Cancer Bats have shared a music video for their April released single “Backstab the Rat Race“. The band comment: “Backstab The Rat Race is all about rejecting the traps of modern society. Grinding 50+ hrs a week, at a job you hate, only to have everything in life double in price. The game is rigged. So in rejection we find our own ways to navigate this world, our own ways to win. Think past the standards set for us that dont apply. The newest the biggest the shiniest will just keep us running in place where only banks and corporations are the real winners. Leave the game for them to play and we can enjoy our lives filled experience and joy.”
