NEWS: Northern Genocide introduce new vocalist with Gimmel cover!

Much to our surprise, Finnish Melodic Death Metal band Northern Genocide have chosen to introduce their new singer Joni Parkkinen with a cover song. The track they have chosen to reanimate is “Roviolla” by Finnish Pop-Rock band Gimmel. Does that mean an end to death growls, complex riffs and orchestral arrangements? Fear not, there is more to this than meets the eye.

The band comments: “In order to create something new, the old must burn in a Bonfire. Later, a new world, the new Northern Genocide, is born from the ashes. Faced with the new, we decided, with the power of a new voice, to pay a tribute to the old. This was the beginning of this legendary Finnish pop-rock song reheated through the grate of Northern Genocide. What would heat up a cold autumn evening better than the flames of Bonfire. Nothing.”
