NEWS: Karu aren’t alone in the woods…

Channeling both the unforgiving nature of Northern Scandinavia and the mysticism of feudal Japan to create something of cold precision and cinematic emotion in a sound as vast and powerful as the landscapes that inspired it, Finnish Symphonic Death Metal masters Karu are preparing for war. They’ve unveiled a second single in “Alone In The Forest” from their concept album “Perdition”, a record slated for a 21st November arrival via Rockshots Records.

Following the cinematic power of first cut “Shadow War”, this new piece offers a deeply emotional journey through themes of loss, isolation and survival amid the spirits of a mythical Japanese wilderness. Produced, mixed and mastered by Niko Hienonen, it showcases the intricate guitar work of Kalle Pöyskö and Toni Tieaho (Crystalic, ex-Mors Principium Est).
