The 12 Days of Christmas #1: “One” by Metallica!
The festivity of the twelve days of Christmas runs from 25th December to 5th January, based on an English Christmas Carol that sees a lover give gifts cumulatively over the Christmas season starting with Christmas Day. Originally published in 1780, it’s probably French in origin, Skull Island has been conquered many times in it’s rich heritage. So for the twelve days, we’re doing twelve Metal tracks that have something to do with the item. Maybe.
“On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, A partridge in a pear tree”
The first day would be day #1, which is of course Christmas Day! There can only be one “One”, which is of course “One” by Metallica. From the album “…And Justice For All” directed by Bill Pope and Michael Salomon and filmed in December 1988 in Long Beach, California, it’s a highly influential masterpiece and of course was covered by KoRn for the MTV Metallica Icon event! Happy Christmas!
