Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Dragula…?
An ice cold beer on a boiling hot day. French fries when you’re drunk. Sometimes resistance is futile. So when the opportunity surfaced to throw together a pair of covers of the Rob Zombie classic “Dragula” that didn’t include the Motionless In White version or any reference to Scum of the Earth, the project of guitarist Riggs we jumped at the opportunity. It’s not Halloween. There are no cheesy low budget horror films waiting in the wings.
In the Blood Red corner we have a rendition of the “Hellbilly Deluxe: 13 Tales of Cadaverous Cavorting Inside the Spookshow International” classic created by Nova Scotia female fronted Hard Rockers Dali Van Gogh. Having been around for more than a decade, they’re fast approaching 450k of Spotify Streams for last summers EP “New Blood, Old Wounds” and are well known for making someone else’s song their own. In the ice cold mortuary Blue Corner we have Stenosis, a masked singer from Kansas City who has been throwing out regular covers as well as original pieces running on themes of death, abandonment, addiction and anger since 2015. If you’ve not heard “Epic Way Of Dying” from his album “Scream Therapy” then we recommend it as a staring point. Who Wins? You decide!
