Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Burn My Eyes Ed.

Earlier this week Louder described the seminal year for Metal that was 1994. It featured genre redefining and generation inspiring albums like the self titled debut from KoRn, “Troublegum” from Therapy? and “Superunknown” from Soundgarden not to mention Trent Reznor’s masterpiece “The Downward Spiral” from Nine Inch Nails. You can read that in full here. We’re not entirely sure how they managed to miss off the monster that is “Burn My Eyes” from Machine Head so as “Let Freedom Ring With A Shotgun Blast” before that downtempo breakdown is one of the most iconic moments in Metal, it’s.time to pit a pair of covers of “Davidian” against each other.

First up we have Once Human, with former Machine Head guitarist Logan Mader in their ranks and fronted by Lauren Hart, probably one of the most devastating vocalists, let alone female vocalists in the Metal community. When Mader gets back from the Anniversary Tour for “Burn My Eyes” were expecting them to turn in big style. Seeing as we’re all about the fun and sense of humour, here’s a Ukulele cover of the tune from Stanis Hurb, complete with solo! Who wins? You decide!
