Throwback: “Unleash” from Soulfly!

A couple of weeks back, Kerrang Magazine published an article detailing 13 of their favourite guest vocal appearances plus the entire “Irony Is A Dead Scene” EP from Dillinger Escape Plan fronted by Mike Patton, which got us thinking about some of our personal favourites. The guest appearance is such a regular thing now that there aren’t many albums without at least one and so many up and coming bands get help from a friend to get themselves on the ladder. So we’re going to go back to 2008 and “Conquer” from Soulfly for “Unleash”, a track that features Dave Peters of Orange County Californian Hardcore crew Throwdown and formerly Eighteen Visions fame for today’s throwback. Peters being an old school Sepultura fan has also covered “Propaganda” and “Roots Bloody Roots” with Throwdown! A mighty fine album in its own right and a return to form.
