Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT. Bring The Noise!

Originally “Bring The Noise” saw Big Four Thrashers Anthrax take on a track by hip-hop act Public Enemy, the first song on the group’s 1988 album “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back“. Anthrax wanted to do a version of the track after doing similarly vocal styling on “I’m The Man” and requested to collaborate with rapper Chuck D on the track for their album “Attack of the Killer B’s” that saw release in 1991. Some critics have cited the track as the start of Rap-Metal that eventually crossed paths with Nu-Metal in the late 90’s. So to this weeks contestants. In the Red Corner, we have Leo Moracchioli from Frog Leap Studios in Norway, who’s joined by rapper Hyro The Hero for their take on the Anthrax live staple. In the Blue Corner, we have Staind who were joined by Fred Durst and DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit when they recorded their take on the track with alternative lyrics in the sessions for the bands “Dysfunction” album in 1998 with producer Terry Date in the chair. Who wins? You decide!
