Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Paint It Black #2!

As some point in ancient history we put the resurgent The Agony Scene head to head against Melodic Death Metallers The Black Dahlia Murder with their respective versions of “Paint It Black” by The Rolling Stones. The original appeared as a single in advance of the bands 1966 album “Aftermath” and it’s fair to say is a stand out cut with Brian Jones Sitar playing influenced by Moroccan music and ultimately became influential in its own right in the Psychedelic music scene.

Appearing on the soundtrack to the Kevin Bacon essential viewing that is  “Stir Of Echoes“, in the red corner we have Gob, who Sum 41 guitarist Tom Thacker played in before and during his time with the Canadian Punks. In the blue corner we have Leo Moracchioli from Frog Leap Studios, who will be breaking out of the studio with Frog Leap Live in April, playing a collection of shows in Mainland Europe with Toska guitarist Rabea Massaad. Who wins? You decide!
