NEWS: Strei launch their ship with “Decay”!

Hailing from Ottawo, Ontario Canada and comprising scene veterans Jeremy Toppings (Harsh Vocals), Aaron Stafford (Guitar, Clean Vocals, Bass) and Julien Doyle (Drums), a new Progressive Metal act Strei have unveiled a debut single entitled “Decay“. The project is one that is about much more than just the music with the band also unveiling a website with a blog style section with musings on their writing process that can be found here. The track itself shows great promise for the band as it crosses sub genres in a single, death defying leap with consummate ease, with an emotive vocal range that seamlessly blends the progressive with some post-hardcore and melodic death metal moments. Sonically the influence of Periphery and The Contortionist is something that Strei wear on their collective sleeves and hopefully their next chapter is in a similarly impressive vein.
