Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins?! FIGHT. #Summertime.
“Here it is the groove slightly transformed, Just a bit of a break from the norm, Just a little somethin’ to break the monotony, Of all that HARDCORE that has gotten to be, A little bit out of control it’s cool to MOSH, But what about the groove that soothes that moves romance, Give me a BRUTALLY HEAVY mix, And if ain’t broke then don’t try to fix it, And think of the summers of the past, Adjust the GUITAR TONE and let the Alpine blast, Pop in my CD and let me run a RAP-SCREAM, And put your car on cruise and lay back ’cause this is summertime”…
…no this ain’t a head to head that has two Metal versions of “Summertime” by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince Will Smith marking their territory, as hilarious as that would be. Maybe Leo Moracchioli can get together with Rabea Massaad and record a version of that at Frog Leap Studios… Iinstead we’re pitting this remixed version of “Who Let the Dogs Out” by the Baha Men that is backed by the music of “Psychosocial” by Slipknot against a version of the song that the Baha Men did with Our Last Night in the studio. Why? Because… reasons: It’s stupid, it’s fun and it’s summertime and if we can’t have a beer and have a laugh over something someone has clearly put a lot of effort into putting together because they thought it was funny, then what’s the point?! Who wins? You decide!
