The Black Map #165: Rain Eyes from Leeds!

“Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!” and appearing from the shadows like a serial killer in December 2020, Leeds hate fueled quartet RainEyes announced themselves with a two track EP called “Scripted Hate“. Etched into the cover art are the words “Dancing to the Smell of Burning Flesh” with the pair of cuts crossing the Worlds of Doom Metal and Deathcore to create a hybrid monster of Griffin like proportions. Those demos might have sounded a little rough around the edges and raw but showed great potential so when something more polished dropped in April via Slam Worldwide YouTube channel we were all ears. That surfaced in “Blinded By Despair“, mixed and mastered by Adam Rogers and with Bradley Lightfoot making the band look like hell on earth in black and white glory for the video. Expect so much more from these Gentlemen going forward, this rampage is a real call to arms.
