The Black Map #179: Blind Summit from Manchester!

In a few weeks time Manchester Metallers Blind Summit will be hitting the road for run of shows with Exist Immortal and so there probably has never been a better time for us to give them a mention. Let’s face it, that’s what this easy like Sunday morning feature that we like to call The Black Map is all about; picking a band out from the UK Underground Metal scene that we know and love and giving them a moment in the limelight that will hopefully inspire a few people who have never heard them check them out.

Blind Summit formed back in 2016 as a quartet inspired by the likes of The Contortionist and Meshuggah with the idea of playing with light and shade by coupling melodic clean vocals with weighty rhythmic gymnastics. 2018’s “Subservient” may be the bands only EP but the three well received singles that have been released since including their latest “Like Water” have given us plenty of insight into their future direction at the same time as building their live fanbase. They’ve already got shows lined up as far as May 2022 when they will be at Red Crust Festival in Edinburgh alongside Raging Speedhorn and Pupil Slicer.
