Throwback: “Box Life” from Pissing Razors!
How is it even possible that “Cast Down the Plague” by Pissing Razors could have reached its 23rd Anniversary already? Time flies when you’re having fun? The El Paso Texas Groove Metal quartet have certainly had their fair share of that. The album was their third, released by German Heavy Metal label Noise Records in 1999, the culmination of hard work and a stable lineup until original bassist turned guitarist Matt Lynch departed and was replaced by Cesar Soto after the album dropped. Engineered, mastered and produced by Andy Sneap (Testament, Accept) it was recorded in January and February of that year at Area 51 Studios, Celle Germany and provides a plethora of Thrashy moments, noisey solos and double kick action that blends the style of Pantera with Skinlab and Prong. Here’s “Box Life” to give you a flavour.
