Rabidfest 2022: Breaking Down The Bands #4: Draconian Reign!

The announcement of another four bands to the Rabidfest 2022 line up this past weekend was music to our ears with Red Method, Alunah, Draconian Reign and 13 Burning joining the first wave of Krysthla, Desert Storm, Footprints In The Custard, Pulverise, Disinherit, The Grand Mal, Sin Dweller, Slay Duggee, WALL and Public Execution with more to be announced. So continuing our feature that breaks down the bands who are playing the event in our official capacity as a media partner, it’s time to shed some light on one of those bands…

…and that band is Draconian Reign. Hailing from Nottingham and specialising in Dark Symphonic Deathcore inspired by genre pioneers Carnifex and Lorna Shore, they dropped their debut EP “Necromantic” back in March. A blistering five track affair and a vicious statement of intent, it finds the quintet joined by Alan Grnja of Downtempo Deathcore titans Distant on one called “Crown of Despair“. Their career in the dark arts maybe a fledgling one at this point as a band who have only existed in the public eye for a matter of months but they’ve already shared stages with Death Metal supergroup Viscera and played Magnata Festival alongside the likes of Conan, Blood Youth and Oceans Ate Alaska. So it’s safe to say they’re not taking one small step at a time  but making several giant death defying leaps on their way to the top…

The Festival will take place at The Bullingdon over the weekend of 5th and 6th November! The first 10 bands have been announced with tickets available here!
