Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins?! FIGHT! Superstar?

Back in the Nu-Metal era there was plenty of talk of who was able to bring the World’s of Rap and Rock together with the best results. Anthrax and Public Enemy, Limp Bizkit and Method Man, KoRn and Ice Cube all conspired to create tracks together to name but a few but the biggest surprise was when Hip-Hop legends Cypress Hill decided to embrace guitars with their “Skull & Bones” album in 2000. 6 of 17 cuts were given the full band treatment with “(Rock) Superstar” appearing as “(Rap) Superstar” on both installments…

In the Red Corner we have Isle Of Metropolis who covered the Cypress Hill track back in 2013 around the time of their debut EP “The Vacation: The Rock Mix Tape”. Recorded at Tiger Hart studios, the Grayson County Texas act created something that sounds distinctly heavier than the original. In the Blue Corner we have Milton Keynes DJentlemen Hacktivist who recorded their version between their albums for an EP titled “Over-Throne” in 2016 while original members Timfy James (now in Terra IV) and Ben Marvin were still in the band. Who Wins? You decide!
