NEWS: Vexed prepare for phase two of World Domination!
If there is one thing you can say about Progressive Deathcore collective Vexed it’s that they’ve made a habit out of making us wait and salvate at the prospect of new material throughout their career to date. They’ve announced sophomore album “Negative Energy” will drop via Napalm Records on 23rd June with single “Anti-Fetish” the first taste. It comes with a music video directed by Zak Pinchin Films as one of thirteen new cuts, one of which “Lay Down Your Flowers” features a guest vocal appearance from Lochie Keogh of Alpha Wolf. Curiously enough the bass playing on the album is credited to producer Meyrick de la Fuente (Exist Immortal, Monasteries, Arcaeon) who did the damage at Floodgate Audio. Pre-orders are of course available over at bandcamp.
Vexed on “Anti-Fetish”: “We wanted to start with a huge riff and a strong message. Anti fetish is us confronting the constant comparisons and ungrounded hate that bands receive. It’s become completely accepted in the scene to cross the line of constructive criticism and just dive bomb into hatred and prejudice. This song is us setting the record straight by calling out the blatant discrimination”
