NEWS: Second Wave of bands for Summer Bash 666: Hell In Hawaii from Mercury’s Well!

Like McDonald’s Winning Sips, Reading Progressive Death Metal Kings Mercury’s Well are gradually putting out the classic arcade game style fires on the poster for this year’s incarnation of Summer Bash and revealing the bands that are joining them on stage. Subtitled 666: Hell In Hawaii, the annual one day event will take place on Saturday 13th July at The Facebar in Reading. So far 7 of 10 bands have been announced…

Mercury’s Well
A Night In The Abyss
Masquerader
DeadBlow
Them Bloody Kids
El Chapo
Chaos Theory

The first of three bands in this second wave are sub-genre crossing London Alternative Metal four piece Them Bloody Kids. They celebrated their fifth year together in February, the highlight of which has to be 2021 album “Radical Animals“. A Blood Blast Distribution release no less, it finds them blurring the lines between Punk and Groove Metal, something which on the evidence of last summers single “Help Me” they’ll be taking into their next EP.

When they played a hometown throwdown at The Gryphon in Bristol on 30th March, Groovy Hardcore Sludge Crossover crew and previous Summer Bash survivors El Chapo played a new song called “Demon Eyes“. They’re promising that as their next recording so they can expect a heroes welcome at The Facebar in Reading.

Last but by no means least in the unholy trinity of bands to ride the wave into the Hawaiian party are Chaos Theory. A Pop Punk inspired Rock band, they will bring a little melody, respite and sing-a-long ability to Summer Bash and having shared a stage with InAir at The Bullingdon in Oxford in October, they might be more familiar than you’d think…
