Throwback: “The World Is Yours” from Arch Enemy!
There is so much Metal out there that a day doesn’t pass by without an anniversary of some kind appearing over the hill like a swarm of locust on the horizon. Which isn’t a hint that we’re talking about that Machine Head album. No instead were focusing on the 8th Anniversary of “Will To Power” by Swedish Melodic Death Metal collective Arch Enemy. Released in 2017 via Century Media, the album was the first to feature the much loved and highly respected Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis while also taking a serious risk with “Reason to Believe” featuring vocalist Alissa White-Gluz demonstrating her clean prowess. It was inevitable that at some point the band were going to try something new, having very much stuck to their guns stylistically since forming in 1995 as bands usually mellow with age and the passing of time. So we’ve chosen “The World Is Yours” from the bands 10th studio album, which is conjoined to a music video directed by Patric Ullaeus, for this feature. 60 million YouTube streams tells you all you need to know.
