NEWS: Iron Mind know how you get down…

Produced by Otis Bennie (AWOL, Blinded, Peace Ritual), recorded by Sam Johnston at The Black Lodge and mixed by Taylor Young (Nails, Drain, Full Of Hell) at The Pit, Australian Hardcore crew Iron Mind are about to give us the culmination of two decades of dedication to craft and sonic fury with their third album “Test Of The Iron Mind”. That will be distributed by Flatspot Records on 13th June but before then, a third music video, this time for “How You Get Down” has landed. This one is directed by Iron Mind and Jack Rudder with pre-orders of course available over at bandcamp.

Vocalist Sam Octigan shares: “We’ve always been a band that champions scene involvement and contribution. That may have come in the form of a pit call, or a conversation at the merch table. Ultimately, hardcore is music for the youth and as we’re returning as somewhat elder statesmen with this record, we wanted to encapsulate that message in a song that was us speaking directly to the youth, the next generation. ‘Show me how you get down!’ – meaning,  we don’t make the rules, we’re not hanging onto the old ways, we want to see the new breed. This is your scene, you create the culture, be empowered to do your thing. We want to be inspired by what you’re doing – so be empowered to do it!”
