Vs. Tuesday: Three Bands! One Song! Who Wins? Fight!

Giving in to popular demand for a prize pair of Slipknot covers in this space while also owing to the fact that “Disdain” by Wage War is heavily inspired by what is for us probably the finest cut from possibly the finest of the Slipknot albums in “Iowa”, it’s time for “The Heretic Anthem” to take centre stage! In the red corner we have San Diego County California’s Deathcore quintet Carnifex, delivering a fine version in the live arena…

And then in the blue corner we have San Francisco bay area Metallers Spite doing likewise on the deluxe edition of their self titled album which is out now via Stay Sick Recordings…

Which can only leave the tag team of the highly influential progressive tech-metallers that are Periphery. That was 2012 on “Periphery II: This Time It’s Personal”, on the first album to see Spencer Sotelo put his lyrics to Misha Mansoor’s music. Who wins? You decide!
