Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! “I Will Be Heard” by Hatebreed

Probably THE Hatebreed song that most Metal fans would name first if asked to name one, “I Will Be Heard” from 2002’s “Perseverance” is an anthem of positivity that gets fists pumping. Not only is it a classic that raised the hardcore bar but it also took Hatebreed to an entirely new audience and featured on the soundtrack for xXx (aka Triple X), the film that saw the rise of Vin Diesel. In the blue corner, we have Alabama Texas Hardcore crew Gideon taking on the anthem at Cornerstone Festival in 2011.

And in the Red Corner? Filmed at the Nouveau Casino in Paris, France, we have Benighted. The Parisian Brutal Death/Grind band on Season of Mist may not be known for anything as mellow as Hatebreed, but they sure as hell have some fun and do the song justice. Who wins? You decide.
