Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins! FIGHT! Earth Crisis #2!

The importance of Syracuse New York Hardcore Punks Earth Crisis should not be underestimated in the context of the current generation of bands out there on Planet Metal. Since 1989, over their journey of six studio records they have developed a sound which is considered a crucial developer and influence for both the Metalcore genre and vegan straight edge movement. So without them, you can imagine what the state of World address might be like, after all everyone from Glassjaw to Machine Head cite them as an influence. “The Wrath Of Sanity” appeared on 1995’s “Destroy The Machines“, widely considered a landmark album in Metalcore. Recorded in the studio of Progressive Thrash act Believer in Pennsylvania, it’s known for its pounding rhythmic grooves and is often referred to as a Hardcore take on Pantera

In the Red Corner we have that Hardcore band named after that Rambo film. First Blood did their take on the track for their 2012 covers album simply entitled “Inspiration“, which also features covers of works by Cro-Mags, Hatebreed and Biohazard. Going back to 2015 and the Aliwal Arts Centre in Singapore, in the Blue Corner, here’s Out For Blood performing the track. Who Wins? You decide!
