NEWS: Buried Realm unveil “Quicksand Memory” featuring Christopher Amott of Dark Tranquillity!
After last months first track reveal saw the premier of “Spectral Light“ from the upcoming third album from Colorado Springs Buried Realm, the solo project of multi instrumentalist Josh Dummer, the second from the Melodic Death Metal offering is finally upon us. Titled “Quicksand Memory” it is the first of the offerings to showcase one of the many guest musicians on the album in Christopher Amott of Dark Tranquillity and formerly Arch Enemy. He is also featured on the track “The Iron Flame” with Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Power Quest, Outloud, Serious Black), Christian Münzner (Obscura), Christofer Malmström (Darkane), Dan Swanö (Bloodbath, Edge Of Sanity) and Dean Arnold (Primalfrost, Vital Remains) also making their presence felt.
Dummer, who writes and performs all the music aside from drums, which are performed by Heikki Saari, explains the meaning behind the single: “It encompasses the overall vibe of the album, musically. The lyrics were written about forms of dementia, time/ memory loss – not understanding where you are, or who you are at times. The thought of sudden absence is terrifying.”
