NEWS: Utilitarian announce “Gaslights” once more?

Back in August 2021 Sheffield anarchists in Extreme Metal and Hardcore Punk Utilitarian announced that October of that year would see a new full length album titled “Gaslights” with Andy Whale (Darkened, ex-Bolt Thrower, ex-Memoriam) once again making guest appearances on a few tracks. But after single “Pride” the trail went cold despite the band providing documented evidence of a track listing and cover art. That is until now. 7th April is the date now set for release with the band throwing down a lyric video for “Profit Warning” in confirmation that it exists…

The band comment on the album lyrical themes “…explores themes about how we are manipulated by those we are supposed to trust. About how some victims of domestic abuse are gaslighted by their partners into thinking there is something wrong with them, when in fact they are being abused. We also explore the parallel theme of how we are manipulated by government and media into thinking we are all going crazy when we notice injustice and corruption, and yet are told by authoritarian figures that we are just imagining it”
