Throwback: “Immortal Rites” from Morbid Angel!

Having been formed in 1983 in Tampa Florida by guitarist, primary composer and the now sole remaining original member Trey Azagthoth, 2023 marks the 40th anniversary of American Death Metal legends Morbid Angel. It would be another three years before they released any music with “Bleed for the Devil” landing in 1986 as the first of four to come before their critically acclaimed debut album “Altars Of Madness“. Their influence is undisputed despite a myriad of line up changes over the duration of their career and former members united under David Vincent to form spin off band I Am Morbid to play material from what is widely considered the bands golden era live. So here’s our personal favourite “Immortal Rites” to raise a poison chalice to in thanks for their dedication to Metal!
