NEWS: Hagalas unveil “Domesticated Violence”!

Like Salmon swimming against the current to head up stream to fresh water spawning grounds, Finnish juggernaut of Melodic Death Metal, Hagalas are taking a the opposite approach to most with the release of their new album “Mentes Reae“. Mastered by Tony Lindgren (Insomnium, Borknagar, Exhorder) at Fascination Street Studios, 31st May will see them unveil it in its physical form via Inverse Records but the digital release will follow a waterfall strategy starting in early autumn.

The album’s theme revolves around mental health and its complex facets, and it goes without saying that this theme is more relevant now than ever before. The choice of the first single release aligns perfectly with the album’s theme. As its name suggests, it addresses domestic violence and the resulting trauma, questioning how much an individual can endure before something irreversible happens?
