The Black Map #279: Chaos Theory (Summer Bash 666 Hell In Hawaii Edition)!
If you haven’t already, there are at least 21 good reasons to grab yourself a ticket to the annual Hawaiian beach party that is Summer Bash. Hosted by Progressive Death Metal Kings Mercury’s Well, this year’s sixth incarnation, subtitled “Hell In Hawaii“, takes place on Saturday 13th July at The Facebar in Reading with a 10 band line up set to take to the stage. So that’s 12 good reasons and we haven’t even got started. Here’s line up in full:
Wallowing (headliner)
A Night In The Abyss
Mercury’s Well
Them Bloody Kids
Maziac
Masquerader
El Chapo
Slug13
DeadBlow
Chaos Theory
Aside from a cracking line up of classy bands that cover a myriad of Metal sub-genres so there is pretty much something for everyone, there will be Hawaiian shirts, flower necklaces, inflatables, cocktails at the bar, a wealth of merchandise from all the bands as well as the usual blood, sweat and spilled beers in the mosh pit. If that’s not reason enough to enjoy an afternoon and evening of wall to wall riffs in pure escapism then the opportunity to mingle with band members, talk about your undying fandom and buy them a drink is always there. They’re a friendly bunch and don’t bite. Unless you ask…
…so to the main event, the reason you clicked the link in the first place. Who the flying f*** are Chaos Theory and why are they playing Summer Bash 666: Hell in Hawaii? They’re everyone’s next guilty pleasure, a Pop Punk inspired Rock band who will bring a little melody, respite and sing-a-long ability the King’s table. Their claim to fame is having shared a stage with InAir at The Bullingdon in Oxford in October so the next big thing is Summer Bash and they’re going to make this one count.
We are a proud Media Partner of Summer Bash for the second year in a row! Fancy a ticket? Get them here.
