Throwback: “I Thought You Met Telly and Turned Me Into Casper” from Emmure!

Believe it or not, 18th August marked the 15th anniversary of “Felony” by American Deathcore cult Emmure. A line up change saw guitarist Mike Mulholland and drummer Mike Kaabe replacing founding members Ben and Joe Lionetti, something which brought with it Nu-Metal influences. They came in the form of bounce riffs and rap screamed vocals to chemically enhance the bands blend of East Coast Hardcore, Death Metal and Punk with Ion Dissonance guitarist Antoine Lussier in the producers chair. Also in the mix were numerous film references including Planet Terror, Donnie Darko and Kids, the last of which being the inspiration for our track of choice “I Thought You Met Telly and Turned Me Into Casper“.
