Petty Squabbles

So… just who are the mysterious Petty Squabbles and why were they chosen as the last member of the all star cast to perform for you at this years incarnation of the almighty Summer Bash we hear you ask? Well… You will know them not only by the trail of the dead left in their wake but also from the other projects of which they are members. That’s because Petty Squabbles are comprised of Buds. singer and guitarist Dan Wilson-Stone, Arid Wave guitarist Ben Palmer and drummer Pete Wroe-Beacon. They stepped up because as they say, a friend in need is a friend indeed so when Mercury’s Well came calling and two of the three were already going to be there, it just made sense. After all, Summer Bash has always been something of a love in between friends with regular returning bands so their presence fits in perfectly with that.

Self describing as “Southampton winge punx” as a concept Petty Squabbles have been around since some point in 2022, earned their stripes live by sharing stages with Cutting Ties, Sodds and Death Goals over the past three years. As if that wasn’t enough to get excited about, they’ve got a three track demo available over at bandcamp for your listening pleasure, our personal favourite of from that collection being “Kermit“. Will they be able to rustle up an Adam Dutkiewicz riff at the expense of Killswitch Engage tribute Killswitch Enchambers? We doubt it… but that’s not the point. They’ll be there and they’ll make their presence felt so why not come down and find out what whinge punk is all about?

We’re proud confirm that Metal Noise dot Net is returning for a third consecutive year as the Media Partner for Summer Bash! Mercury’s Well will be hosting the seventh incarnation of their annual Hawaiian beach party themed event on 26th July 2025 at The Facebar in Reading.
