Rabidfest 2024: 2nd Wave of Bands announced!

Having fired their starting pistol early and unveiled the first six bands for the sixth annual incarnation of Oxford’s finest Metal Weekender Rabidfest in December, you could have forgiven the organisers for sitting on their laurels for a few months. But it’s often said that January is a miserable month, so to brighten things up and lighten the mood they have let us have the next four in a firework display fit for Royalty! Here’s the line up as announced so far…

So as Eric Cantona says on the William Hill adverts, who you got? After two failed attempts to get them to the stage, we’re hoping it’s third time lucky for Nottingham Symphonic Deathcore collective Draconian Reign. Following them to rob graves and practice their skills in the dark art of arson are are  Existentialist, a band at the forefront of the Blackened Death Metal scene with last year’s album “The Heretic” submitted in evidence. The way for Eschalon has been paved by first single “Helios” as 2024 looks to be a monumental year for the band, while Traditional Heavy Metal masters Cloven Hoof will be making their presence felt with a career spanning 45 year in the making set.
