Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? Fight! Black Flag Edition

Hardcore punks Black Flag are not only genre pioneers but arguably the creators of post-hardcore to boot. Their full length debut at third attempt in 1981’s “Damaged” is perhaps their most influential release, so where better to celebrate it than here? In the red corner are Hatebreed, who themselves are influencial on the current hardcore scene. Their take on “Thirsty and Miserable” came from their very listenable covers album “For The Lions” which itself pays respect to their influences in the game.

When it comes to influence and legend, there aren’t many more so that Lemmy Kilminster. The voice of Motorhead recorded his own version for “Rise Above: 24 Black Flag Songs to Benefit the West Memphis Three”. Who wins? You decide!
